Description

The Yokohama type pneumatic fender is a bumper with air as bumping media. Pneumatic Fenders are available in diameters ranging from 300 mm to 4,500 mm and lengths ranging from 500 mm to 9,000 mm, as well as special sizes. Pneumatic floating fender is mainly composed of inner rubber, synthetic-tyre-cord layer for reinforcement, outer rubber and other metal parts. All the floating fender parts are combined as a whole after high temperature vulcanization, therefore the floating pneumatic fenders have many advantages. The chain-tire net pneumatic fender (CTN) is a lattice of used tires connected by a network of horizontal and vertical chains, which adds further protection to the fender body. The chains are galvanized for greater corrosion resistance and covered by rubber sleeves to prevent abrasive damage to the outer rubber. The horizontal chains are fastened at each end to a ring shackle. The rubber fenders are supplied with two different inside pressure levels to cover a wide performance range, 50kPa & 80kPa. They are manufactured according to ISO 17357-1:2014. Standard colors are black and grey (Navy), other colors available upon request. The rubber fender is widely used for oil tankers, container vessels, yachts, ocean platforms, large wharf and naval ports, etc. Pneumatic fenders have the following advantages ● Low transportation costs ● Low and easy maintenance ● High strength, high fatigue ● High strength and friction resistance. ● Impact resistance, heat stability, good adhesion. ● High energy absorption with a low reaction force ● Adjusted performance by varying internal pressure ● Easily deflateable and to be stored on deck of vessels
