OverviewThe J/7 is a modern 7.04 m (23') family daysailer featuring a large sit-in, self-draining cockpit, an easy-to-handle sail plan and inherent stability for its size. Designed to carry several crew comfortably while remaining towable behind a mid-sized SUV. All sail controls are led to the cockpit and an adjustable backstay allows rapid sail flattening in puffy conditions.
Key features- Large, easy-access, self-draining cockpit with secure 2.6 m (8.5') cockpit seats and backrests and a step-on transom for swim-platform access.
- Optimized deck layout for simplicity and efficiency, including an end-boom mainsheet with bridle (no traveler to trip over).
- High 46% ballast-to-displacement ratio and low vertical center of gravity provided by a 1.16 m (3.8') fixed all-lead keel for exceptional all-weather stability; no hiking required.
- Jib roller-furling system for simple headsail handling.
- Molded ORC-style toe-rail port and starboard from bow to stern with a single gate across the transom.
- Compact interior cabin with settee seating and V-berth platform for shelter, storage, napping and privacy.

Comfort and usabilityThe J/7’s cockpit accommodates five-plus people in comfort; four adults can sit on the same side while sailing upwind. The walk-through swim platform extends leisure space and provides a secure platform for instruction or boarding. Seated helm visibility is excellent thanks to the high boom and low cabin profile.
Designed for intensive useHull, deck and structural bulkheads are built in composite sandwich with E-glass and Corecell foam core, with high-density inserts at load points for deck hardware. The J/7 is engineered for regular programme use, delivering a favourable strength-to-weight ratio and long-term durability.
Quality and mobility- Sandwich composite materials chosen for optimal lightness and stiffness.
- Standard sail kit: mainsail and jib.
- Transportable: single-point lift capable and trailerable behind a mid-sized SUV.
- Central sling lifting provision for simple hoisting and handling.
