Product Overview:
GLEN Berthing Aid System (BAS) is a laser-based vessel approach and berthing guidance solution that provides real-time visual and operational information during approach, berthing, and drift-off operations.
The system enhances situational awareness for pilots, bridge teams, and terminal operators, helping control approach speed, reduce berthing risks, and protect fenders and jetty structures.
Designed for ports, LNG and oil & gas terminals, and offshore berths, BAS integrates precision laser sensing, large LED visualization, intelligent alarms, and data recording to support safe and efficient berthing under varying traffic and weather conditions.
Key Features:
• High-accuracy laser monitoring of distance, speed, and approach angle (up to 300 m)
• Real-time visual guidance with large LED display for pilots and vessel bridge
• Traffic-light alarm system (red / amber / green) for intuitive speed control
• Multi-mode operation: Approach, Drift-Off, and Depart
• Automatic data logging for post-berthing analysis
• Eye-safe, ATEX-certified sensors suitable for hazardous areas
• Marine-grade stainless-steel enclosures for offshore durability
Application Scenarios:
• Precision berthing at ports and terminals
• LNG, oil, and petrochemical jetty operations
• Large vessel approach guidance, including LNG carriers and tankers
• Low-visibility and harsh-weather berthing support
• Fender protection and smart terminal data integration
Optional Configurations:
• Motorized rotating LED display for optimized pilot visibility
• Maintenance platforms for safe inspection and servicing
• Drift-off and fender monitoring functions
• Integration with AIS, PPU, VTS, CMS, EMS, and weather systems
• Environmental data integration (wind, tide, wave, current)
• Hazardous-area execution (Zone 1 / 2 / 21 / 22)
