Description

The Esse 850 “Lusso” (Luxury) was designed for all those who like things to be even simpler - and do not always have a water depth of more than 2 metres in their sailing area. The boat has a draft of only 1.5 m, but is nevertheless very stable even in a stiff breeze. This is achieved by a heavier keel weight and a slightly reduced mast height.

Yet the Esse 850 L still offers an above-average sailing performance. A self-tacking jib as a headsail provides additional comfort. Otherwise the Esse 850L has the same construction features as the Esse 850 – the length, beam and hull form being identical. The boat’s hull and deck are of an epoxy glass fibre sandwich construction. The gennaker boom is carbon and the rig aluminium. The Jefa needle rudder bearings provide a sensitive response, with that typical Esse feeling coming through the carbon tiller.

STANDARD EQUIPMENT

Boat complete with rod rigging, sheets and halyards, lifting strap, “Bartels” under deck mounted jib roller reefing, “Harken” deck fittings, outboard motor bracket, self-tacking jib.
