This weight savings is achieved by reducing the overall amount of plastic used in the hull so if you are mostly paddling shallow rock-filled rivers, enjoy scraping down big slides, or are expecting to take big hits on big drops, then the heavier-duty L’Edge Lite will be a better choice.
