The ELME Spreader Model 586TB is a telescopic side lift spreader with vertical twistlocks handling one single, empty ISO or Binnen container with a width up to 8’6”. Spreader model 586TB is designed to be integrated on the carriage of a forklift truck. It has a low single profile type main frame which enhances visibility when high stacking. SIDESHIFT A generous sideshift movement of ±600 mm (1200 mm in total) provides operational flexibility. VERTICAL FLOATING END-POSTS For easier pick up and fast handling of containers, the end-posts have a sideways floating distance of ±36 mm. HORIZONTAL FLOATING END-POSTS The head and bottom of the spreader end-posts are integrated, and the end-posts have a a floating distance of 200 mm. Floating end-posts facilitates handling of containers on/from a sloping surface. MANUALLY ADJUSTABLE HEADS 586TB is supplied with a manually adjustable head. By manually adding or removing spacer blocks and bottom supports 586TB can handle ISO and Binnen container corner castings positioned at c/c 2258 mm with container widths up to 8’6”. TWISTLOCK SYSTEM The twistlock system is manufactured in a rugged design and is well-proven since many years. Spreader model 586TB is equipped with hardened ISO quick exchange twistlocks, hydraulically activated with electrical and mechanical interlocking against faulty locking and unlocking. The vertical twistlock principle offers the following features: • Two twistlocks enter the top corner castings and lock the spreader onto the container. • Spreader model 586TB is shorter than the container meaning that all containers can be block stacked and still remain accessible.
