Description

For too long, marine owners have put up with the inherent slip hazards and fluctuating prices that traditional aluminium duct covers dictate. While aluminium duct covers are prone to tarnishing and oxidisation our composite glass-reinforced plastic (GRP) technology is fast becoming the material of choice in demanding marine environments. With its incredible strength, lightness and ease of installation and excellent resistance to corrosion, GRP duct covers have been used to provide a highly slip-resistant solution that is extremely durable and with stable pricing. Further, the nature of GRP technology means that Dura Duct Covers will never oxidise or corrode. Non-conductive and with an excellent lifespan GRP duct covers provide a robust and attractive solution to the problem of slippery pontoon service ducts that are able to withstand extreme weather conditions and saltwater and have an excellent UV stability. Design As experts in composites, we are able to design bespoke GRP duct cover profiles which integrate with the specific modular pontoon designs of the major pontoon manufacturers. Our team of Marine GRP specialist can guide you through your design process and answer any questions you have. Why not get in touch to discuss your next project. Recent Installation We recently worked with Walcon to install new GRP duct covers on a UK Marina project. David Philbrow of Walcon said: Dura’s GRP Duct Covers are a real innovation. There’s nothing else like them in the marketplace and they have proved ideal for this high specificiation project.
