This dam is an anti-pollution dam: it absorbs hydrocarbons and derivatives. The floating boom is fitted with a PVC skirt weighted with a galvanized steel chain. The absorbent dam is made of polypropylene fibers held in a net fitted with two carabiners and hooks allowing the dams to be attached to each other (great length possible). The PVC skirt is held in place by quick release straps. The connection and sealing of the skirt between each pollution control boom are effected by a male female Velcro strip, and a snap hook at each end of the boom. Easy cleaning and reuse: after absorption of hydrocarbons, all you have to do is replace the polypropylene fiber absorbent dam and clean the PVC skirt if necessary for next use.
