Description

Make sure that you have an efficient raw water flow to your engine, by including a water strainer into the suction line. Even small dirt particles can damage the impeller of the water pump, or are the cause of clogging-up in the cooling water channels in the long run. The water strainer must be fitted above the waterline, so no water can intrude when the seacock is not closed while opening the filter. Having a water strainer installed, this facilitates the adding of anti-freeze to the raw water circuit, before winter storage. The filter element can easily be removed and cleaned and the transparent cover enables an efficient checking of the water flow. The cooling water strainers, made by Craftsman Marine have been developed, following a most careful market survey. The result thereof is a well-balanced design which is best dubbed as “installation and maintenance friendly”. Installation takes place by means of two bolts or screws. The filtering surface is made to maximum use by ensuring an excellent water flow inside. The hose connections are well-positioned, so that the entry and exit lines can be easily positioned and fastened against an upright bulkhead. Cleaning the filter element is “a piece of cake” and, owing to the fact that the strainer is entirely made of synthetic materials, nothing can get rusty or stuck. The major assets of our cooling water strainers are: -Well-balanced design -Fast and simple mounting -Maintenance friendly -Easy to be cleaned -No risk of rust
