Hardy 42 ‘Raymariner’ product testing vessel is a prime example of how the tried-and-tested hull of original Hardy designs can be adapted for commercial purposes. Since launch, this particular version has achieved an impressive 9000 hours at sea.
The Hardy Commercial has also been adapted to create two crew training vessels for the RNLI’s HQ in Dorset. Built to surpass tough sea conditions and capable of operating in harsh climates, the Hardy Commercial can be custom-made for patrol and search-and-rescue activities to your precise specifications.
The Hull: The initial lay-up is made using Lloyds approved isophthalic gelcoat and resin, and the subsequent lay-up is made using resin. Stiffened with heavy GRP foam-filled stringers and hand-bonded plywood grid, and bonded waterproof plywood equipment beds and foundation, this multi-purpose hull is the foundation for all our Hardy commercial and defence craft.
