Description

LOTUS monofin is aimed at sports competitions and training in the outdoor and indoor freediving and finned swimming sectors. The LOTUS monofin is suggested to the freediving school, to the beginner athletes that want to start with monofin sport and to expert athletes that need a powerful tool for training. The blade is manufactured .by means of high pressure moulding of HOT MELT prepreg: this process was derived by aerospace sector. Thanks to the engineered distribution of the stiffnesses, the lateral load loss, due to the transversal bowing of the blade, has been drastically reduced; this allows the maximization of the efficiency producing a high thrust with a minimum effort. This design principle is the same of the TARAS monofin, famous at worldwide level for numerous world record. The engineered distribution of the stiffness of the blade makes it stable even in conditions of powerful strides, so drastically reducing muscle fatigue. The Footpockets, made by mould, in high quality natural rubber, are ergonomic and comfortable even when "deliberately tight" worn to minimize power loss and maximize thrust. And for the first time, absolute innovation, the footopockets are assembled to the blade with screws: this allows a very high freedom and versatility of usage. Features: 1. the monofin was designed with zero angle between blade and footpocket (flat monofin). 2. the material is 100% S-glass hot melt prepreg with high performance epoxy resin 3. FEM Design to optimize stiffness distribution and hydrodynamic efficiency
