Description

miniWUWLED




is a 12W wireless underwater LED floodlight designed for installation on non-metallic hulls. Patented Wireless Energy Transfer technology transmits energy through a non-metallic wall with approximately 80% efficiency up to 40mm, delivering up to 12W to the driver-controlled LED module. THE SYSTEM ALLOWS INSTALLATION WITHOUT DRILLING THE HULL, preserving its integrity and reducing the risk of cracks and water infiltration.
The miniWUWLED can be mounted using the supplied clamps or by purchasing the kit of two Lexan plates. Once glued to the hull, the spotlight can be attached directly to the plate. This allows the spotlight to be disassembled and reassembled even while the boat is in the water, for easier maintenance. The wireless transmitter must be positioned maintaining minimum distances from metal parts (30 cm recommended; 10 cm from the side of the box) and other miniWUWLED units (minimum center-to-center distance 60 cm). The electronics are automotive-grade and resistant to battery voltage spikes.




12/24 Volt DC power supply. The system includes protection against reverse polarity, overheating, short circuits, electrostatic charges, and voltage spikes; it automatically shuts off between 32 Vdc and 60 Vdc to prevent damage.




Light, Optics, and Materials




The projector uses a series of OSRAM OSLON LEDs that deliver up to 1,500 lm (WHITE). White color temperature: 5,000 K. Two-tone versions available: Polar White/Sapphire Blue. The lens is made of 2 mm tempered glass with a self-cleaning nanotechnology coating that protects against algae and salt deposits; a special gel applied to the lens prevents fogging and increases brightness. The external screws are titanium to prevent rusting. The projector is EMC compliant (2014/30/EU) and tested to ensure no interference with onboard systems.




No condensation




A key aspect to ensuring the long life of underwater spotlights is preventing condensation inside them.
Below is a list of the damage condensation can cause in common spotlights:
  • Reduced visibility: Condensation can cloud the lamp glass, reducing the brightness emitted.
  • Corrosion of components: Water inside the housing can oxidize the electrical contacts and circuits, compromising the lights operation.
  • Risk of short circuits: Water can cause current leakage or short circuits, jeopardizing the safety of the system.
  • Damage to the lamp: The electronic components of LED lamps or other devices can deteriorate rapidly in the presence of moisture.




To ensure the highest quality in all its underwater spotlights and prevent condensation, AMPERMARINE applies a special transparent resin between the outer glass and its LEDs.




This manufacturing process ensures complete insulation between the glass and the electrical circuit, thus ensuring complete absence of condensation.
