OverviewAllures Horizon 47 is a 14.25 m / 47 ft aluminium bluewater cruising sailboat designed for long-range offshore navigation. The Horizon Frame concept integrates lowered side-decks, a 40 cm wrap-around bulwark and a composite deck on an aluminium hull to combine structural strength, lower weight aloft and increased interior comfort.
Key features- Aluminium hull for long-term offshore durability and deformation tolerance
- Composite sandwich deck to reduce weight aloft and provide thermal insulation
- Horizon Frame: lowered side-decks, high bulwark and lightwell through the bulwark for enhanced visibility
- Centreboarder hull with raised/ lowered centreboard for shallow-water access and controlled downwind behaviour
- Protected cockpit with twin helm stations, integrated hardtop/rigid dodger and sheltered watch zones
- Redesigned interior with central island galley, large coachroof windows and lounge-style saloon
Highlights- Aluminium structure chosen for longevity and predictable deformation characteristics in heavy seas
- Light, curved composite deck enabling refined shapes and improved performance
- Centreboard benefits: access to shallow anchorages, reduced drag downwind when raised, twin rudders for manoeuvrability
- Wrap-around 40 cm bulwark and single-level side-decks for safe deck movement
- Extensive panoramic glazing and dedicated lightwell for strong visual connection to the sea
InteriorThe interior emphasizes daylight and a living-room atmosphere: lounge-style saloon with central island galley, double-seat chart table that can be used as a desk, extensive natural light via large coachroof windows and lowered side-decks. Finishes include warm joinery, natural leathers, thick upholstery and LED lighting with customizable options.
ExteriorDeck layout focuses on safe, uncluttered movement: side-decks level with the cockpit, all primary sail controls grouped at the helm stations, twin watch seats aft of each wheel, two-part cockpit table preserving passage to helm and swim platform, and large aft storage volumes with modular transom/swim platform for water-sports equipment.
In navigationHull by Olivier Racoupeau balances performance and comfort. The centreboard arrangement provides shallow-draft access and regulated downwind behaviour. The cockpit under a hardtop/rigid dodger creates a protective environment with ergonomically placed winches and sail controls for simplified handling and watchkeeping.
Plans & modularityModular interior options include alternative forward owner cabin layouts (desk/dressing, powder room or full bathroom) and aft variants (engine-room or third double cabin). Deck plans show lowered side-decks, grouped controls at helms and direct access to the swim platform.
