Getting the Most From the 3M™ Finesse-it™ SystemWhen used with 3M™ Finesse-it™ Polishes and Foam Buffing Pads (sold separately), the buffer's dual-action 3/8" (10 mm) orbit produces a uniform, haze-free finish. The system helps repair paint defects in AOEM paint shops and can reduce the need for a secondary polisher. Use only foam buffing pads; do not use wool pads.
Ergonomic Features Provide Maximum ComfortThe grip uses patented 3M™ Gripping Material for a secure hold with less hand pressure. Design elements include an extended curved wrist rest, built-in muffler and rear exhaust to reduce vibration and improve comfort during extended use.
The Nitty GrittyThe air-powered Random Orbital Buffer 28392 requires an air compressor and hose (sold separately). Interior threaded spindle: 5/16-24. Recommended speed: 10,000 RPM. Accepts a 5" (127 mm) pad and operates with a 3/8" (10 mm) orbit. The tool supports two-handed operation with or without the removable side handle (PN30334, included). For best results, run the tool flat on the work surface with approximately 4 pounds of force.
