Comfortable Anchoring Without Rolling!OverviewEffectively reduces boat movements by up to 50% with the SWI-TEC passive boat stabilizer. Especially recommended to reduce seasickness and to ensure a peaceful anchoring experience during longer stops.
Key Benefits- Reduces rolling (side-to-side movement) up to 50% depending on vessel and deployment.
- Increases comfort at exposed anchorages and during longer stays.
- Simple setup: passive system, no electricity required.
- Compact storage: foldable elements and a durable water-repellent storage bag included.
- Production in Europe; designed for reliable marine use.
Main Features / UseThe stabilizer is a foldable box-shaped device with movable plates that is lowered into the water and attached by a line. The plates open during downward motion to let water pass and close during upward motion to dampen movement, creating braking resistance against rolling. It is used only when stationary at anchor or in port (never while underway).
Installation & Deployment- Secures with a single external rope slightly deeper than the hull (adjust depth depending on sea conditions).
- Can be positioned on the side, at the bow or stern depending on wave direction.
- For most boats multiple stabilizers may be required—consult the weight table to determine the recommended number. When using more than one unit, mounting both on the same side is recommended for stronger braking resistance.
- Attach to a cleat or lower railing support; ensure the mounting point is stable and able to withstand forces involved.
Limitations & Safety- Not recommended in very rough seas or extremely high waves due to excessive strain on cleats or railing supports.
- Less effective if positioned too close to the hull (prevents proper function).
- May contact underwater obstacles (seagrass, wreckage) or be affected by strong tidal currents.
- When deployed at the bow it may interfere with the anchor chain; avoid use while underway.
- Regularly inspect connecting elements, loops and screws for damage or corrosion; rinse with fresh water after use and store dry.
