Bent glass panels are manufactured in a mould constructed from the autocad 3D-drawings, the glass receives a bullnose polished edge and is then chemically toughened. Flat glass panels will receive ground or polished edges and are tempered according to ISO 614.
Laminated glass
Yachtglass produces exclusive security glass,
all our glass panels are laminated with PVB, EVA or DuPont™ SentryGlas® foils. These foils are available in many colours and the lamination is achieved using the autoclave process. The UV Protection primer is applied to the inside of the sandwich glass so we can guarantee optimal optical quality with the best protection for the gluing/sealing system.
Heated glass
Clear visibility in fog and bad weather is guaranteed with our heated glass system. The laminating foil is embedded with almost invisible tungsten wire, controlled and kept at the correct temperature by heat-sensors, meaning we can offer you the greatest transparency combined with the highest security available.
Energy-saving glazing
Yachtglass also offers many energy-saving glazing systems, from our sandwich-glass we also manufacture various insulation glass systems with two or three air chambers filled with clean air or inert glass. We also have the Southwall XIR, PET reflective foil in our range.
Security
As the risk of piracy and break-in grows, Yachtglass is constantly developing new glazing systems dedicated to your personal protection. For security purposes we can't go into any specific details here, but we will show you the various possibilities during a personal presentation.
