De RB 27 is based on a original lifeboat. The hull, as of all Antaris sloops, is produced by a high-tech squirt technique; a procedure by which the fibreglass and resin is being digitally mixed and controlled. The RB27 is outstanding in cruising capability. Its directional stability and manoeuvrability, even backwards, are very remarkable. The cockpit comfortably accommodates 12 people. The phenomenon "CA friend with a boat" is given a whole new meaning after the purchase of this mega sloop ! Using the cabriolet hood the cockpit converts into a expansive sleeping area and the inventive "weekender facilities" of Antaris are also seen on this ship. The helm seat behind the wheel is surveyable because the bow doesn't rise too much and the ship is seakeeping. Below the foredeck there is generous storage space for toilet, refrigerator, folding bikes and other gear for an extended stay on board. The sloop can also be fitted with a heavy diesel engine which allows speeds up to 28 kilometres per hour.
