The Waterline 53 offers the safety and security of a fully enclosed pilothouse that can be opened to the cockpit. The aft 1/2" lexan windows recess electrically into self-draining pockets at the flick of a switch. The side and forward windows are a glass/lexan/glass sandwich for ultimate strength. The boat can be sailed easily by a couple, and can be maneuvered from the inside by the autopilot. The cockpit is deep and very secure with a huge aft lazarette below a curved helm seat. Bow thruster, anchor windlass, remote VHF radio and the Leisurefurl main halyard and reefing controls are all mounted within easy reach on the Whitlock steering pedestal. Six Lewmar self-tailing winches help to provide easy sail handling and control in all conditions.
