Last month saw the introduction and launch of the first of three new open craft ranging to 6.0 metres, with the River Dart Electric 4.0 from Water Roo Craft. After concentrating on developing their own electric drive systems which were adapted to their sports-boat range to offer alternative sedate cruising, the company then went on to develop a new hull to cater for their new Electric Impeller Drive in the Riverette. Now with several years of development and research attributed to their projects, they're very pleased with the performance from their latest new design. Through introducing their semi - pod propeller drive system contained and hidden beneath the rear bench seat, the new layout offers much more room to move about. Also adding to a much more sociable layout are two 180 deg. swiveling bucket seats and side mounted individual fold-down picnic tables with an option of a third mounted in the centre. Not forgetting the household pet, the front cushion which conceals a large lockable dry storage locker, is a pride of place for any four legged friend. Further optional extras include a touring canopy, boat cover and road trailer. The whisper power is through the Lynch motor and a toothed belt drive with individual options of 12 volt to 48 volt battery packs to suit speed or duration required. The new craft went on sale this month at a retail price of £6990.00.
