The 55' B2 is a classical example of a Vismara craft and it perfectly embodies the philosophy of the boatyard, which has always focused on development, innovation and research into technological solutions on the cutting edge. With the deckhouse in the style of the Vismara 62' "Salinigi", all glass with carbon interiors, innovative layout and grey hull, the 55' B2 has been designed for fast cruising and IRC regattas. One important and fundamental characteristic of the craft stems from the fact that it is made entirely in carbon fibre, with structural interiors in carbon; this means a reduction in the weight of fittings to the benefit of the ballast ratio, which will be 46%. The hull's "planing surfaces", aft, increase the length of the craft at the waterline to guarantee great directional stability and performance of the highest level.
The deckhouse is glazed all round, which provides light below deck and also matchless views. The helm station console, navigation screens and cockpit seating are all fully integrated to create compartments of the right height below deck. This integration also leaves room for the special layout of the interiors, where the bathrooms have been moved to the far ends, fore and aft, to lighten the ends boat.
The fixed keel has a draught of 3 metres, without taking up too much room inside because the mast step has been integrated into the engine caisson which is situated amidships, meaning that it is "concealed" beneath the table in the dinette as well as offering better weight concentration.
