Sea Trials: We have trialed the Tempo Fisherman Kayak with a payload of 300 lbs. including passenger, battery, motor and gear. Using the 30 lb. thrust Minn Kota Electric motor we have consistently motored between 5 and 8 hours with a 135 amp/hour standard lead cell battery. This was in various water and weather conditions. Using a better grade battery, such as a gel or glass mat battery such as an Optima, will result in even longer run times.
