The Skipper model is provided additionally with practical pliers with wire cutter and squeezer. The roughened, ergonomic casing gives the knife an extremely good grip, which is a considerable advantage when used on the water. Skipper and Mariner are 2 cm longer than conventional "Swiss Army marine knives" (91 mm) yet they can be considered lightweight with approx. 150 grams and therefore also easy to carry in the convenient belt case for boat. The blades of the Victorinox knives are made from top quality stainless steel.
