Because electric propulsion often involves heavy discharge of the batteries, we strongly recommend a battery that can sustain such treatment and has a long life-span. VETUS AGM batteries fulfill these requirements. VETUS battery model AGM214 has a capacity of 214 Ah over a 20 hour discharge period and is therefore suitable for electric propulsion.
Even after 5 hours discharge, the battery still has a capacity of 176 Ah. Some important characteristics of VETUS AGM batteries are:
- When used normally, no "gassing" will occur.
Therefore, there will be no smell when charging and no risk of explosion.
