The retractable tunnel bow thruster is the ideal solution for you. The retractable tunnel is a special version of the Veth tunnel bow thruster. The retractable tunnel serves in the upper position as a BB-SB propeller and in the lower position as a 360 degree steerable rudder propeller. Want to know more? Operation A streamlined angular gear drive with a propeller is mounted in the tunnel. At the top of the tunnel an electric or hydraulic motor is mounted, which drives the rotation in 2 turning directions (Port and Starboard). When the tunnel bow thruster is driven by a diesel engine, an angular gear drive with a reverse clutch is used.
