A continuous process of design improvement have lead to the new VSR 5.8R. While incorporating the popular benefits of the existing VSR models, these boats have a more typical rib hull design and are a bit bigger to provide more room onboard but without losing their great seafaring capabilities and safety. The tubes have been further reinforced at the bow and sides with rubbing strakes for rugged and daily use. This model was developed together with the Royal Yachting Association and incorporates the popular benefits of existing VSR models, and the rich coaching experience of the RYA.

The low 300 kg weight and hull design create a great weight to power ratio. The 5.8R with a 60hp engine has excellent performance and handling and very low fuel consumption.
