And don't be fooled, its 5.50 metre length offers more room inside than you think. The high freeboards result in safe and comfortable sailing, even with children on board and rather windy conditions or increased swell. Even tall people fit comfortably under the full size spray-hood. The ergonomically formed wide benches with high backs make for pleasant sailing in the Van Wijk 550 for both skipper and passengers.
