The Vacmobile RT19 resin trap is a heavy duty, easy to use and easy to clean resin trap. It offers an excellent level of vacuum integrity for high quality resin infusion applications. Vacuum connections to the resin trap lid are via unique design O-ring seals, which seal on the outside of extruded polyethylene and similar tubing. These connections offer unrestricted resin flow into the disposable resin catchpot situated inside the trap. There are no male fittings for gelling resin to catch on and the connections normally do not need cleaning between uses. If cleaning is required, the connections are easily dismantled and cleaned in solvent.

RT19 resin traps are assembled to customer order within 1 to 2 working days of order from a selection of components and may therefore be configured for specific needs and budgets. The number of vacuum connections on the lid can range from 1 to 8, in 4 optional connection sizes. Connection sizes may be mixed if required. For peace of mind when infusing, the lid is normally fitted with a solid glass viewport protected on both sides by clear PVC disposable shields. If price is a constraint, the lid maybe supplied without the viewport. Connections to the vacuum pump can range from a simple female threaded port through to complete control manifolds, with vacuum gauge, vacuum regulator, pump isolation valve and auxiliary connection for an absolute pressure gauge.

With a simple conversion, the RT19 can also be used to supply degassed resin for the manufacture of low void ratio infused parts, in a manner which allows resin transfer into the part without air contact after degassing.
