This 77" ketch, LadyK, is the culmination of unique vision by its owner, designer and builder. The primary goal with this design is a yacht capable of unlimited-range blue water cruising, with an emphasis on Pacific Ocean transits. The client was very interested in the variety of sail configurations and redundancy provided with the ketch rig. To completely decouple the carbon rigs and allow very large roaches, neither triatic nor backstays are used. Instead highly swept spreaders provide all the support for the rigs. A lifting steel fin with lead ballast package keeps wetted surface and mooring draft low, but stability high.
