Tek-Tanks have now developed a tank manufacturing system that blends exacting engineering with stylish aesthetics.
If you are looking for a lightweight tank that is lighter than aluminium, then you have found it. The concept tank shown here holds 59 litres and weighs just 5.8kg! This is 48% lighter than our standard 10mm thick tank.
Suitable for diesel fuel, water and waste, they can be made to any of
our usual shapes but will be limited to a maximum volume of 160 litres.
Fuel tanks will be CE marked as usual, water tanks will be taste free
and waste tanks will meet the ISO 8099.
Tek-Tanks Racing tanks are machined from 12.5mm thick High Density Polyethylene which has been co-extruded in two colours. Fuel tanks are yellow and black, water tanks are blue and white and waste tanks are green and beige.
Each panel on the tank is individually machined on a CNC router leaving individual pockets 8mm deep. The baffles are also machined with lightening holes and are also pocketed.
The hatch plates are machined with nut recesses to allow for half nuts
rather than full nuts. All the bolts are drilled giving a further weight
saving.
All the Racing tanks are pressure tested to our usual 4 psi and come with a certificate of conformity.
