Passenger ferry (shipyard)
PC 2500
STX Europe (former Aker Yards)
MS Victoria I was delivered on March 9, 2004 by STX Europe, Rauma. The cruise ferry is the second brand new vessel ordered by Tallink Grupp AS from STX Europe. The vessel is a sistership to Estonia's biggest cruise ferry Romantika, delivered for Tallink by STX Europe, Rauma in May 2002.
The Victoria has a capacity of 2,500 passengers, 740 cabins and 1,000 lane metres of vehicle deck space. Compared to the Romantika, the interior design of bars and restaurants has been changed, and the number of luxury-class cabins and suites has been increased. Over 400 people can be seated in the conference area with the largest room for 250, which should meet the requirements of even the most demanding customers.
The vessel has a length of 192.9 metres, a beam of 29 metres and gross tonnage of 40,000. Propulsion by four diesel engines totalling 26,240 kW will provide a service speed of 22 knots. The catalytic reduction units installed for better control of exhaust emissions make the vessel most environmentally friendly.
