Sistership of MSC Fantasia delivered in December 2008, MSC Splendida is taller than the Eiffel tower with 333.33 meter long, 37.92 meter wide and 60 meter tall (16 decks). With a 138,000 gross tonnage, she includes 1,637 cabins to host a total of 5,284 persons onboard of which 1,325 crew members. Only 27 months were necessary from first steel cutting to build this new 55,000 UMS giant of the seas featuring quantities of technical innovations that further increase cruise passengers' fascination.

Part of the Fantasia Class, claimed by MSC as world most beautiful ships, MSC Splendida is a further superb illustration of Saint-Nazaire shipyard's expertise in executing environmental solutions. Advanced water treatment (recycling of grey and black water) and energy-saving systems for both electricity and air conditioning by the use of individual detectors, are major innovations implemented on Fantasia Class.
