Adventure of the Seas, the third cruise ship in the Voyager-class, was delivered (26 Oct 2001) by STX Europe, Turku.

The concept design of the Voyager class cruise ships was made by Kvaerner Masa-Yards Technology in close co-operation with Royal Caribbean. Production of Adventure of the Seas started in August 1999, and she was docked out on January 5, 2001. The successful sea trials took place in September 2001. All tests performed proved the vessel to meet or exceed specified parameters.
