Compared to the competitive ships of that time, the superfast ferries arrive at their ports of destination 10 to 12 hours earlier. In addition, the almost cruise liner standards on board make the crossing very pleasant.
A ferry leaves Ancona, respectively Patras, every 24 hours. Each ship has a capacity of over 1400 passengers and 830 cars, respectively a combined number of cars and other vehicles. The cruising speed during the 20-hour crossing is around 25 kn.
