ST 18'CLASSIC Sotar

First designed in 1990, SOTAR’s continuous curve Cat design has become an industry standard. By eliminating all cross miter seams we were able to decrease drag and increase performance. The continuous curve design allows SOTAR, the designer, to change the shape of the tube gradually throughout the tube length. With this ability and our experience, we have fine-tuned this shape to optimize speed, quickness, and load carrying capacity. We have upgraded to 3-Seam construction to eliminate the wrinkles in bow and stern, to further increase the performance of our Cats!
All SOTAR ST Catarafts are hand built using our extremely tough and durable Urethane (Lexatron) material. Cataraft tubes are available in your choice of Gray, Tan, Red, Orange, Yellow, Lt. Blue, Teal, Purple, Black, or White. If you can’t decide on one color, we will even mix and match.
Each ST Cataraft comes standard with two airtight chambers per tube, 8-2” stainless steel D-rings and 2 carrying handles per tube, and brass grommets on each end cone. We recommend adding a top chafe or wear pad for your frame, but is not a necessity. Top chafe pads are available in our liquid Lexatron, Flex-tuff, or a layer of Urethane fabric. Bottom wraps are available in either liquid Lexatron or Flex-tuff. Other options available include additional D-rings, handles, and custom logos. We even will custom size your Cat to suit your taste!
