Solimar has a big experience in the manufacture of rudder shafts made by using aluminium 3571, Ergal 55, stainless steel A304, titanium and special steel A630. The rudder shafts are available with diameter from mm. 25 up to mm. 160. The rudder shafts are turned and tapered by using CNC machine. The double plates are welded to shaft, all the rudder shafts have the safety key slot. All the rudder shaft are preset for the connection of the emergency tiller (emergency tiller lever supplied on demand).

Solimar can also supply the rudder shafts complete of rudder blade.

For the carbon fibre rudder shafts Solimar supply some important completion accessories, for example the top bushing preset for the connection of the emergency tiller, the supporting ring, the cylindrical bushings for the position where the rudder bearings must be installed.
