The concrete float comprises expanded polystyrene protected by 25mm glass fibre reinforced concrete - it is tough, durable and maintenance free. We make our own floats in moulds which ensures a smooth surface - four fixing bolts are cast into the top surface. This form of construction ensures permanent floatation, as the core material is a closed cell, absorbing water up to a maximum of 5% by volume.
