MOLO BW 20-48 Sistema Walcon

The floating pier model BW 20-48 answers the purpose to build more massive floating structures to moor both pleasure and/or fishing boats even of big dimensions. Moreover, under a timelimited rough of sea, it exhibits considerable wave attenuation characteristics. The pier is formed by a main frame having high mechanical characteristics, UNP 300 mm electrowelded hot-dip galvanised main profiles. The decking is composed of precious exotic wooden staves fastened with aluminium alloy stringers and stainless steel screws. The pier is supported by N. 16 floating units made of reinforced concrete lightened by high density polystyrene foam. The module 20x4,8 m. consists of N. 4 underunits having a length of 12,8 meters and a width equal to half of the overall width. Equipment are housed in side openings placed beside the decking and covered with decking timber boards.
The module outfit includes:
- linear joint system formed by stainless steel clamping systems and semirigid neoprene shock absorbers;
- stainless steel bolts and nuts for undermodule side connection;
- hot-galvanised steel brackets to hook anchor chains;
- continuous side fenders made of precious exotic wood.
