HEAVY FLOAT - MEGA FLOAT

HEAVY FLOAT-MEGA FLOAT is a continuous floating pontoon with high dead load. High comfort and great stability make it suitable to important marinas and demanding customers. The pontoon consists of a sturdy supporting framework (UPN 220 main beams) made of electrowelded hot-dip galvanised steel section bars. It is supported by a one-piece concrete float with a high density polystyrene foam core. Thick reinforced concrete walls and internal stiffening baffles give it better structural characteristics than normal mooring pontoon floats. The decking is made of precious exotic wooden staves fixed with stainless steel bolts and screws. Moreover, the pontoon is provided with lateral duct covers to house the equipment. They are finished with wooden continuous fenders. A modular holes system is peculiar to side beams and allows the connection of mooring accessories (rings, fingers, etc). The head is preset for longitudinal connection of more modules through a semi-elastic "silent-block" system formed by neoprene shock absorbers and stainless steel bolts and screws. Sturdiness is increased by cover plates placed in the junction area.
