The 557 is loaded with high performance features and exudes style. It is, however, the abundance of newly applied technology that truly separates Seven Marine's 557 from every other outboard available.

In addition to collaborating with General Motors on the powerhead, Seven Marine and ZF Marine have worked together to deliver the world's first outboard-joystick control system using ZF's Joystick Maneuvering System (JMS).

Another industry-first resulting from Seven's partnership with ZF is a CAN-bus controlled disc-clutch transmission, which allows smooth, computer-controlled shifting and complete speed control from trolling perfection to WOT.

These advances in outboard technology define Seven Marine. From the closed-loop cooling system, to the dualwall stainless steel exhaust manifolds, to adjustable dual water pick-ups, to the octane scaler that features ECU mapping for various grades of fuel, the only thing more impressive than the 557's power is the list of "firsts" that accompany it.
