Tef-freezing contains 40% of powder PTFE and any solvent bird, silicone or derived from oil, which would let penetrate the electrolytes. When Tef-Freezing is applied to two metal surfaces in contact, the electrolytes of sea water cannot penetrate any more by capillarity, and this durably.
Plated surfaces one against the other:
these surfaces can be protected from the capillary action by applying a fine layer of Tef-Freezing with a brush, a brush with teeth or a plastic pallet before assembly. To clean the surplus with the white spirit or with Boeshield T9.
Tef-freezing is not insulator electrical, and it does not increase the electrical resistance of connections. PTFE (40%) is a fine ultra powder which is extruded apart from surface of contact and in the cavities of surrounding surfaces.
Tef-freezing eliminates the welding by corrosion from stainless, Inconel and other alloys of nickel.
Tef-freezing applied to two surfaces nut and bolt or bolt and tapped hole leaves a solid PTFE film, which prevents the welding by corrosion. As Tef-Freezing does not contain any solvent bird, it does not evaporate, does not freeze, does not dry and protects the elements durably, which allows an easy disassembling.
