The consoles have all used an identical footprint although other features have varied to meet individual customer requirements and some tugs were fitted with a towing winch as well as a line handling winch, and tow pins, while others were outfitted with fire fighting capabilities.
Standard equipment fitted includes sound powered telephone, intercom, dual remote control searchlights, main and auxiliary engine controls, window washer and window wiper controls, outside lighting controls and alarm and monitoring controls.
The manufacturing process starts with an assessment of the end user and operator requirements as to what controls are to be fitted into the console and what the location of each of the controls will be relative to the overall ergonomic and aesthetic situation within the confines of the console space available.
