The PSS Shaft Seal, large model, manufactured for 15 years, uses the well-known system of mechanical seal in order to assure complete water tightness between the propeller shaft and the boat, unlike other brand which uses either a lip seal or a packing gland.
Because of its choice of material, the PSS Shaft Seal can operate in all kind of environment, including salty/sandy waters. Also unlike other type of seals there is no contact, therefore no wear, between the sealing surface and the shaft.
