SMI manufactures 'P' and 'A' type brackets, which are made of high quality manganese or Aluminum Bronze and fitted with water lubricated cut less bearings. The 'P' brackets are used to support the shaft system along with the propeller. The cross section of the 'p' bracket is of hydrofoil section, which gives least resistance to the flow of water &thus helps to improve the efficiency of the boat. The scope of supply includes base bracket, water lubricated bush & the set of screws. They are manufactured as per design of the naval architect or as per the drawing & specifications of the customers.
