The electronic compass system consists of a high-tech electronic sensor able to measure the magnetic field with great reliability and accuracy, combined with a digital LCD display instrument. The electronic sensor has a built-in, self-compensating routine to minimize interferences from other apparatus. It transmits a digital signal in NMEA0183 standard, capable of driving another instrument as a repeater.
