Rutgerson first introduced press sail rings as far back as 1972. They were so well received that Rutgerson now supplies more than half the world market with sails ring.

Today's Super rings constitute a development on Rutgerson's original press rings which, when they were first introduced, eliminated the need for sewing the rings into the sails.

The Super ring is a sail ring made of high quality Swedish stainless steel, acid proof steel with unsurpressed strength and grip on the sailcloth. The rings are easier to handle and fit, allowing smaller sizes than normal to be used with the same result.
