Sailboat : cruising sailing-yacht (custom-made) Royal Huisman PAMINA
Pamina" is a high performance 112' sloop rigged sailing yacht. Commissioned in May of 2000, she represents one of two launchings at Royal Huisman Shipyard for that year.
Be it family cruising or worldwide voyaging this yacht is suited in every way. Our client asked chief designer Ted Fontaine from the Ted Hood design office to produce an above water view that would neither be modern or classic. In a sense a timeless style, offering stately good looks as appealing today as they will be 30 years from today. With generous accommodations and a high regard for performance cruising an underbody of moderate displacement incorporates a fixed bulb keel and spade hung rudder. Displacing 126 tons her hull and superstructure have been built utilizing the new wrought alloy, Alustar from Corus and she has been built under Lloyd's supervision and classification. Powerfully rigged, her high aspect ratio Rondal carbon mast and in boom furling utilizes sails supplied by North with automated reel and drum winches, matching deck hardware, and zero tolerance flush hatches also by Rondal. To complement this high specification, Rondal low profile roller furling stays control both the headsail and staysail.
