The guide rings are used to fix the pontoon to the pipes set into the sea bed. The guide rings are made from 6005 A-T6 aluminium alloy and fixed to the pontoon by stainless steel fittings.
The guide rings will be fitted with 3 or 4 high-resistance rubber rollers with nylon cores and Ø22mm stainless steel shafts deigned to cushion the blows against the piles produced by the movement of the pontoons due to the sea swell. This not only reduces the noise but also the appearance of gaps and misalignment brought about as a result of the structure’s continuous banging against the pipes. These guide rings also include a rot-resistant tropical wood fender of the same quality as fitted on the pontoons.
The guide rings with 3 rollers are generally used for anchoring finger pontoons less than 1.5 metres wide. The size of these ring fittings is in relation to the pile at which they’re aimed and covers a wide range which goes from small 270 mm diameters, for those making use of the smallest rings with three rollers, to large 800mm diameters. The number of rollers can be increased by special request.
