There are two pumps in the system. One is an AC 220v pump which will, when there is AC power available (e.g. the generator is operating or the boat is connected to the dockside), automatically start working as soon as there is demand for water. The second pump is a DC 24v pump, which works from the battery banks.

When there is no AC power available, the system knows automatically to choose the latter pump. The unique feature of this DUO pump is that when water demand is very high, the intelligent system knows to operate both pumps at the same time, ensuring that you will never run out of water. A strong advantage of the DUO pump is that in the unlikely event that one pump breaks down, there is a second pump, standing by, as a backup.

This pump is readily available and comes in two different models, a 24vDC/220vAC-50Hz, suitable for the European market and a 24vDC/115-60Hz, suitable for the US market.

The AMFA Duo is compact and, as it is factory set, it is easy to install and is ideally suited to yachts of between 50ft - 70ft. As you would expect from an AMFA product from REYA, the fittings and piping are made from stainless steel ensuring a hard working, long lasting life.
