In November 2005, after winning the open EU tender, Remontowa S.A. has signed the contract with Scottish Ministers represented by Scottish Fisheries Protection Agency for design, construction and delivery of Fishery Protection Vessel. According to contract, the delivery time of the vessel shall be October 2007.The technical ships of various types and functions, technically complex and highly sophisticated, became new products offered by the shipyards acting under the REMONTOWA Group banner. The vessels are being built basing on the own projects conceived by Remontowa's Design Office.
The primary function of the vessel covers fishery protection operations in waters surrounding the mainland and islands of Scotland. In addition the ship will operate in the North East Atlantic Fisheries commission waters beyond the 200 mile limits. The areas of operation include open sea, shallow coastal waters and estuaries and sounds with strong tidal streams.
