The SD50W ceiling system is based on the SW50 wall design. With a fire classification of B-15 and a sound reduction index of Rw = 30 dB, the high-strength sandwich construction meets all the demands made of modern ship ceiling systems. The panels are assembled using the tongue and groove principle. If access to the area above the ceiling is required, the panels can be additionally fitted with a ceiling hatch. The ceiling panels are supported by a sturdy border profile, which is screwed to the adjacent wall. A ceiling substructure is thus not required. In larger rooms the panels can be installed with center profiles.

A large variety of surface finishes are available; all of them have a removable protective foil to prevent any damage from occurring during installation. The design of the SD50W ceiling system and all components used have been tested and approved according to international standards.
